Celebration of the memories: 10 years of colorful baby wool hoods in Horn

A wonderful Tradition is celebrated in the Horn Clinic: the 10th anniversary of the colorful baby wool hoods! These colorful hoods are not only a practical heat dispenser for newborns, but also a valuable memorial for the parents. Since the introduction in 2014, over 4,200 children have been born in the clinic - every single child was allowed to go home with an original wool hood. Mayor Gabi Kernstock and municipal councilor Stefan Keusch from Horn organized a special surprise: former babies were invited to thank the hardworking knitters Renate Purker and Margit Paulik, who create these cute accessories. At the same time, another important event took place in the Czech Republic: a meeting of former residents of Peterswald, today known as Petrovice. This meeting is an emotional return for many who were driven out in 1945 and 1946. 100 to 130 participants, many of them still born in the community, traveled to celebrate their roots. Renate von Babka, chair of the home community, was pleased with the positive development in the region and the friendly admission by today's residents. "We are happy and grateful that we can do this here today," said Babka. The participants had the opportunity to take photos in front of their former houses, which, according to one of the photographed, aroused many memories.
