Students are committed to Madagascar: 1,260 chocolates for a good cause
The students of the BG/BRG Hollabrunn once again show their committed heart for a good cause. This year, which also marked the 50th anniversary of the Missio youth campaign, the pupils in the fourth grades sold an impressive amount of 1,260 chocolates and 504 packs of the "Happy Blue" chips. This sales campaign took place as part of its religious education and aimed to support this year's Missio project in Madagascar.
An important aspect of this initiative is the decades of connection of the BG/BRG Hollabrunn to the Missio youth campaign. They have been participating in this campaign for 35 years now. Religious teacher Hermi Tribelig said that they are regularly involved in the sales campaigns in order to provide help to the poorest countries in the world. This year the focus is on Madagascar, a country that is faced with significant challenges.
Matthias Möller, an employee of Missio, brought the pupils closer to the conditions on site and explained Madagascar's reality. As a result, the students were not only active when selling, but also a better understanding of the need to invest in other countries. The proceeds from the previous sale are a step towards improving the educational situation in Madagascar.
The support from the school and the active participation of the students are of great importance. These actions help to raise awareness of social responsibility and the need for international solidarity. The committed actions of the BG/BRG Hollabrunn are exemplary for a school that not only conveys knowledge, but also promotes the values of compassion and help for others.
The sale of sweets is not only a simple fundraising measure, but also a pedagogical measure that encourages students to contribute to improving the living conditions of other people. In a country like Madagascar, the means that are collected by such actions are of crucial importance. You can lay the foundation for better education and thus contribute to securing the future of the upcoming generations. A small campaign by the students becomes a great help for the people in Madagascar. More information about this and similar actions can be found at www.noen.at .
