Platt shines: Historical fountain system revitalizes

The recently completed renovation of the water supply system in Platt ensured joy among residents. This original renovation was necessary because the fountain, known as "Holzbrunn", was badly affected over the years. The Initiative came from the local hunting committee and the municipality of Zellerndorf, who were committed to ensuring that the fountain shines again in new splendor.

Mayor Markus Baier and the mayor Reinhard Wolf were visibly pleased with the result of the work. When you visit the newly designed wooden brunge, they emphasized the special participation of the Platter wood artist Rudolf Kren. Kren took over the artistic cladding of the fountain after an old photo motif from the 1950s. "It is impressive to see how well the historical design was implemented," said Wolf. The fountain is now available for the population again and can therefore be integrated into the community.

The decision to renovate was not made lightly. The Hunting Committee of Platt and the municipality of Zellerndorf recognized the need for action in order to maintain the historical element of the village. The combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern renovation methods made it possible to preserve the charm of the fountain while the functionality is guaranteed at the same time.

The residents and visitors can now enjoy the new, historical fountain design. Many in the community see the importance of this project not only in the preservation of the well, but also in strengthening the sense of community. It is a place that shows both the older and younger generations how important tradition and local history are.

"The Holzbrunn is more than just a water source; it is part of our identity," added Baier. "Together we managed to revitalize an old value that has been part of our lives for many years." The renaturation is therefore a good example of how tradition and community spirit can work together to keep historical sites alive.
