Martin Pichelhofer has represented the Greens in Retz for many years and will no longer run for a mandate. Instead, 59-year-old Christian Schiemer, who only moved to Retz a year and a half ago, will be guided by the Greens' political fortunes. Schiemer describes his love for the region with the words: "Growing up in Vienna, I was always drawn to the country - and with Retz it was love at first glance."

Schiemer has already taken the first steps to integrate in the community. So he actively committed himself as a windmill leader and has clear goals for the future. "My goal is to maintain and develop Retz as a worth living and sustainable town," he explains.
