Hergovich calls for immediate help for insolvent workers in Lower Austria!
In an urgent appeal, the SPÖ state party leader Sven Hergovich underlined the need for a labor foundation for Lower Austria in order to offer insolvent employees faster help. "The state of Upper Austria and the city of Vienna show how to react quickly and determined to the challenges of time," criticized Hergovich and demanded the immediate creation of an auxiliary fund to give people a perspective in need, as in the city of Vienna, where the bankruptcy fund is already being used to secure the affected person financially. "In times of economic uncertainty, we need solutions that offer people security," said Hergovich in a press release in which he pointed out the inactivity of the Lower Austrian black and blue state government. "This day before Christmas, we have to help and don't push them onto the long bench," he continued.
black holes in the health system
But not only with bankruptcy issues, Hergovich sees a need for action. He criticized the excessive personnel costs within the state health agency (LGA), which is known as the "administrative male". According to Hergovich, the average content in the LGA center with 380 employees is over 100,000 euros, which leads to a massive waste of money. He called for a return to the old structures from before 2021 to save 30 million euros annually. "We lack the money in the health system," says Hergovich. When asked about the high employee remuneration, the LGA pointed out that its salary structure is based on the national standards and that the comparisons with other professional groups are therefore "not permitted".
The criticism does not without consequences: Hergovich and his colleague Rudolf Silvan were sued by the LGA for calling for calls and an insult to honor, which Hergovich rates to intimidate critics. "The lawsuit caused the opposite," he said, emphasizing that numerous whistleblower now turn to the SPÖ to point out grievances in the healthcare system that may even have led to deaths, as he fears.
"We have to act now", Hergovich urged and referred to the urgency in the course of the current crisis situation in order to improve the conditions of the people concerned as quickly as possible, while the black and blue state government continues to be looking though. This leaves the question of how quickly the critical inquiries can be reacted to while the time is pushing.
Hergovich demands that the Lower Austrian state government will follow the example of Vienna and Upper Austria and quickly take measures that help people in this emergency, as reported by Kurier .
The SPD sees itself as a duty to work on the fact that the grievances in the healthcare system are resolved promptly, and shows that the state health agency is also urgently in need of reform, which is in the reporting of Apa-OTS becomes clear.
