This initiative is intended to present an invitation to the citizens to enjoy the festive mood. Kickl himself announced his participation on Instagram and was pleased with the upcoming event. It is expected to end the evening with his family in Lower Austria, where a traditional Christmas dinner with chicken is on the menu.

Kickl's election success and euphoria

The political stage for Kickl could not be cheaper. According to a report by Profile , his FPÖ received over 29 percent of the votes in the recent elections, which is a great success. Kickl managed to regain voters who had previously switched to the ÖVP, and thus to record the largest voter current from black to blue. The analysis of the election campaign shows that Kickl was able to successfully adapt its strategy to position the FPÖ more. He relied on topics such as migration and asylum, and despite the criticism of the ÖVP and the negative campaigns, he remained true to the electorate. His controversial handling of right -wing extremists in particular does not seem to harm him. Kickl is known as one who is polarized, but is estimated by his supporters for his open dealings. Nevertheless, he also has to deal with internal party criticism and the challenge of reaching a wider field of voters.
