Care in the focus: Mayor round discusses the future of care
d he last exchange of the mayors and representatives of the Little Region Herz Mostviertel recently took place in St. Peter in the Au. The focus of this session was on the care and the completion of the "Heart of the Mostviertel Round Wanderweg". Various experts and organizations took part in this meeting to discuss important topics.
The meeting follows a previous networking meeting that took place in spring and focused on social and health concerns. This time, representatives of Caritas and aid organization were invited to show their care services. A wide range of offers was presented, which ranges from advice and mobile care to therapeutic possibilities to 24-hour care. In addition, support services for caregivers and families were presented.

Among those present were Mayor Johann Spreitzer from Seitenstetten, Marion Ebner from the Caritas Social Station Urltal and Markus Lurger, regional manager of the Caritas Mostviertel West. In addition, Vice Mayor Gottfried Bühringer from Aschbach-Markt, small region chairman Johannes Heuras from St. Peter in the Au, Gabriele Seyer from the Aschbach Aid Service, Mayor Friedrich Hinterleitner von Biberbach, Michaela Hinterholzer, President of the aid organization of the Lower Austria aid agency, as well as Mayor Josef Unterberger from Wolfsbach, Josef Forster from Ertl and Erwin Pittersberger from Weistrach Session part.
The participating organizations gave a detailed overview of the existing services and underlined the importance of care in the region. Especially in rural areas, the provision of such offers is essential to meet the needs of the population and to maintain the quality of life.
Another central topic was the discussion about the circular hiking trail "Heart of the Mostviertel". The path should not only be attractive for the leisure activities of the citizens, but also serve as a tourist attraction and highlight the beautiful landscape of the region. During the meeting it was emphasized how important a good networking between the different actors is to further optimize care in the region.
This session shows how committed the heads behind the small region work to cover the comprehensive health and care needs of the people in the region. By exchanging ideas and the idea of initiatives, a step is taken in the right direction to address these challenges. The discussions and the willingness to cooperate were promising, so that these topics will remain in focus.
