On May 16, 2025, the opening of the Most/4 Festival took place in the Amstetten Remise, which would like to make an important contribution to the cultural diversity in Lower Austria. Around 250 guests from different areas, including politics, culture and society, were present. " Sigrated and listed by the musician Sigrid Horn.
festival focus and projects
The MOST/4 Festival has no central artistic director so that projects can be submitted by everyone. The selection is made by a regional jury that focuses on exchange, participation and regional anchoring. Martin Vogg, Managing Director of the Cultural Networking Lower Austria, handed over the traditional red festival brain to Vice Mayor Markus Brandstetter and project representative. The projects represented include "The Neue Mostviertler Welle", "Amstetten meets America" and "Apparently incompatible in dialogue".
- "The new Mostviertler Welle"
- "Amstetten meets America"
- "About Home in Amstetten"
- "Apparently incompatible in the dialogue"
- "Fata Morgana"
- "Let's talk about it ... during the break"
- "Kunstroas"
- "Dialogtage Kino Lower Austria"
The festival will take place in 39 municipalities in the Mostviertel from May 16 to July 20, 2025 and comprises a total of 48 projects. With a variety of offers such as brass music, electronics, festivals, films and artistic entrances, it reflects the diversity of Lower Austrian regional culture. The musical opening was designed by artists such as Sigrid Horn, Lou Asril and others, and the final concert is planned for July 20 in Haag with the squeezing work Family and Da Blechhauf’n.
creative contributions and discussions
Sigrid Horn and the graphic artist Nina Ober are creatively involved in festival communication. Horn not only set the festival claim for a jingle, but also made a significant share in the musical opening. Nina Ober designs graphic content for the projects and thus plays an essential role in the visual appearance of the festival. Particular attention is also paid to a dialogue about the cooperation between artists compared to the use of AI in marketing, which is to be discussed on June 10 with the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences and the philosopher Klaus Speidel.
The Most/4 Festival relies on diversity and encounter and offers a deep insight into the rich cultural landscape of the Mostviertel. This structural concept not only promotes local culture, but also invites you to a lively exchange between the various actors in the region.
