Cinema as a place of education: Filmverein Amstetten reveals important topics
In Amstetten, film enjoyment is given a new swing. The Filmverein Perspective Kino plans exciting events that focus on education and discussion. Helga Steinacher, the association's chairwoman, expressed that you would like to fulfill an educational mandate with her program. In order to achieve this goal, cooperation with the Austrian Society for Political Education has been discussed. This cooperation focuses on the annual topic of participation and legitimacy in today's democracy and thus fits perfectly with the concept of cinema perspective.
The cultural weeks in Amstetten are just around the corner and on the occasion of this opportunity the cinema perspective on November 20 shows the film "Europe". After the demonstration, the association wants to organize a moderated discussion. Gerhard Steinkellner, old chairman of the association, emphasized the importance of the exchange. "Discussions and diversity of opinion should find more space in the area of cultural offers," said Steinkellner. Political representatives are also cordially invited to participate in the talks.
technical improvements and creative engagements
An important aspect of news about the perspective cinema is the technical refresher of the event space in the youth center A-Toll. Thanks to the municipality of Amstetten and city councilor Stefan Jandl, a darkening of the emergency exit area could be realized. This significantly improves the cinema experience for the spectators. Jürgen Adelmann was positive about the constructive cooperation and the good solutions that have been found so far.
Film screenings will take place every Wednesday at 7.30 p.m. in Amstetten. In addition, cinema fans can look forward to two special film afternoons in cooperation with the Volkshochschule Amstetten, which will take place on October 23 and December 11th at 4 p.m. "Volunteers are of great importance for our project," said Helga Steinacher. She herself is also employed, but enjoys the time she can spend with the visitors in the evening. "It is just fantastic to meet people and also see a great film," continued Steinacher.
For those who would like to become part of this living community, there is the possibility. Interested parties can simply contact us by email to kontakt@perspectivekino.at. The association supports volunteers with a flat -rate remuneration for travel costs and minor expenses.
Another highlight is on December 18, when the comedy "How do we get out of there?" is shown in the town hall. Afterwards a Christmas drink is offered for the audience. For detailed information and the program, interested parties can visit the association's website: www.perspensekino.at .
