Burgermeister opens new flagship store on Leipziger Marktplatz
The popular burgers chain Burgermeister has made an important step in its expansion. Managing Director Leander Brune was optimistic about the opening of the new branch in Leipzig. "We are happy to finally be able to inspire the Leipziger with our burgers and to welcome this dynamic city as a new chapter in our success story," he said.
The new location, called "Burgermeister Markt", is located directly at the historic market square in Leipzig. This flagship store is the 15th unity of the company and was set up in a former burger king branch. The quick takeover was possible thanks to an agreement with the previous operator, so that the opening can take place this year.
new location and jobs
The restaurant area comprises generous 300 square meters and offers space for more than 100 guests, both inside and outside. To make it easier for customers, Burgermeister has also launched a delivery option, which means that the popular burgers can be ordered via partners such as Wolt, Liefando and Uber Eats in Leipzig.
With the opening of this location, around 40 new jobs are created, which Leander Brune emphasizes as another important contribution to the community. "We are proud to be able to make a real taste not only with our new store, but also a valuable contribution to the city community," he emphasized.
Despite this expansion in Leipzig, Burgermeister has not stopped. The new Linden location in Hanover was opened in early October, which is the first branch outside of Berlin. These openings are part of an extensive strategic planning that further locations in Braunschweig, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart and Berlin provides for six new openings by the end of 2024.
