Festspielhaus St. Pölten, Österreich - On June 19, 2025, the Lower Austria Weingala took place in the St. Pölten Festival House, in which 24 outstanding winegrowers were awarded the title "State winner 2025". The awards were ceremoniously presented by Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner. The day before the Lower Austria Weingala, on June 18, 2025, the Lower Austria winner Tasting took place in the same festival house. This event offered the opportunity to try over 300 top wines from Lower Austria and to get into conversation with renowned winemakers. The tasting was organized by the Lower Austrian Chamber of Agriculture and Wine Lower Austria. Entry cost 20 euros and dogs were not allowed. Visitors were able to arrive conveniently by train from Vienna within 35 minutes.

The Lower Austria Landesin award is considered the largest independent wine competition in the country and comprises more than 5,500 submissions in 24 categories. The variety of wines extends from quiet and tingling to classic and strong to mature wines and rosé. This wide range illustrates the high quality and the great variety of Lower Austrian viticulture.
