New ORF Kids episodes: adventure, learning and fun for children!

In the coming week, young spectators can look forward to exciting new offers in the ORF Kids program. From April 29 to May 5, 2025, various new episodes and formats will be presented, which both maintain and form. Particularly noteworthy is the new season of "Democratic", which starts on May 1st at 7.15 a.m. and 7.30 a.m. and focuses on political knowledge for children. In the first episode entitled "Coalition and Opposition", the election in Democratic is discussed, while the protagonists are trying to gain influence. The second episode deals with the formation of a government and the first parliamentary discussions, which conveys the basic principles of democracy in a child -friendly way.

In addition, the holiday film "Shrek, the Third" will be broadcast on May 1st at 6:00 a.m., in which King Harold Shrek appoints successor. On May 2nd at 8.55 a.m. a new episode of "Hello, what do you do?", In which the flight attendant Lena overcomes her fear of flying and flies to Palma de Mallorca. For further education for media literacy and politics, the Lower Saxony State Center for Political Education offers numerous materials and information. The focus is on political media literacy and the social effects of digitization, which is particularly important for children and adolescents. In today's world, in which violent content and conspiracy theories are increasingly widespread, it is essential that young people will develop the ability to critically question such content.

The platform contains special workshop concepts and educational materials for strengthening children and young people in dealing with modern media. The challenges that young people, such as fake news and data protection, are also discussed. One goal of educational work is to give children and adolescents the necessary tools to be able to navigate safely and informed in the digital world.
