National Council decides on new rules for truck and bus drivers: inside!
On May 22, 2025, the National Council unanimously adopted new provisions on the implementation of EU requirements in the transport of freight. According to OTS affect these changes, the working time law and the working retail law. Compliance with these regulations is crucial for the improvement of traffic safety on the streets, since according to EUR-Lex Rest times in many European countries, including Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland, apply.
criticism and challenges
However, the government faces criticism. In particular, the late implementation of the EU guidelines was criticized by the Ministry of Transport. In addition, the Greens discuss a new selection process for folklore: inside, which is considered bureaucratic and complicated by other parties.
