Mini cell phones behind bars: France's police strike!
In a large-scale commitment, the French police confiscated hundreds of mini cell phones, which occupied inmates in 66 detention centers for criminal activities. The raid, known as "Prison Break", was specifically directed against the tiny mobile phones, which were imported from China and are considered almost unobstructible. According to the public prosecutor's office in Paris, a total of 164 cell phones were confiscated, including 88 of the miniature models in question, which are about the size of a lighter.
The investigation leads to a dealer whose website has been confiscated. Skunde information was evaluated to draw the threads to the criminal networks. In a warehouse building, 500 mini cell phones for shipping and 70,000 euros in cash were secured. Measures have already been launched against the dealer for illegal transactions, and two suspects are in custody, such as [Kleine Zeitung] (https://www.kleinezeitung.at/service/newsticker/chronik/19716611/franzi-polki- fittzhmt-mini-Handys-hitter) reported.
criminal use of the mini cell phones
The mini cell phones were specifically designed to avoid security controls in prisons. Some of the phones were used for serious crimes such as drug trafficking, fraud, arson, arson and even order murders. It is estimated that there are around 5,000 of these devices in French prisons that are used for criminal activities. These alarming numbers were also confirmed by Tagesspiegel.
The French security forces, supported by the national intelligence services for prison services, take care of the evaluation of the confiscated telephones. The European Justice Authority Euro Just has also been informed to keep other member countries up to date on developments in the investigation.
a dangerous business
The illegal business with the mini cell phones flourishes, and the products have been advertised as inconspicuous and difficult to detect. According to a statement by prosecutor Laure Beccuau, it was illegal to give such models access to the detention centers. The closure of the operator website was of great importance in this context. A total of three dealers who sold the telephones in France have been custody, as Trendyone reported.
The raid and the subsequent arrests are a sign of the increased struggle of the French authorities against illegal telecommunications construction in prison and their threat to public security.
