Long night of churches: 120 worshipers celebrate with festive highlights!

On Friday, May 23rd, the time has come again: Around 120 churches, chapels and church facilities in Upper Austria open their doors to everyone as part of the “Long Night of Churches”. A total of almost 290 events are planned that can be visited free of charge. This initiative is intended to promote encounters between different Christian churches and local groups and offers a diverse program.

The offers include music, dance, lectures, readings and special church tours. Creative formats such as church cinema, a schnitzel hunt, night watchman hikes, fire workshops, magic and theater performances are also on the program. Many of the events take place in particular in Linz, where 110 of the almost 290 events are planned, such as OE24.

A special highlight of the event is the family festival in the Mariendom Linz, which celebrates the first birthday of the cathedral center on this day.
