The carnival guild St. Jakob is back and ready to conquer the stage! Under the direction of Heimo Zwittnig, the new Chancellor, the members are in top form. "Finally we have three performances again this season," he says with a noticeable joy. The events take place on Friday, 24th, Saturday, 25th and Friday, January 31, 2025, in the Kulturhaus St. Jakob, each at 7:30 p.m.

The past few years have been challenging for the guild, especially after the Corona pandemic, which led to a decline in the number of members. Many older active people have withdrawn into the "carnival pension". But with the summer of 2023, Heimo took over the rudder and was again able to bring between 40 and 45 members together. "There is a great group dynamic and everyone is motivated!", Zwittnig comments on the new line -up and at the same time advertises that interested parties are happy to join.

What brings the new program with it? Umtnig deliberately keeps the details secret to surprise the audience. "We are already in the middle of the rehearsals," he reveals, adding: "Some things will be different, but I want to bring the old shine of the guild back." In addition, as usual, there is also a carnival chicken on February 22nd in the former Gasthaus Lauritsch VLG. Tomale that starts from 7:30 p.m.

This return of the carnival guild is not only a ray of hope for those involved, but also a sign of revitalization after difficult times. "We look forward to continuing tradition and offering people an unforgettable experience," adds the Chancellor and makes it clear that the preparation is already going to the fullest.
