Equaliz in Villach: New location strengthens girls and young women

In Villach an exciting event is imminent: the "Equaliz", a center for girls and young women, will move into its new location at Italianstrasse 17 next week. This step takes place in cooperation with the Villach women's office, which is planning numerous actions for the international girls' day. The Equaliz has established itself as an important contact point in the past seven years and offers a variety of support for young women.

"We are proud to be able to expand our location now," says Vice Mayor and women's officer Gerda Sandriesser. The aim of the new location is to create more spaces for workshops, advice and educational events. "It is important to deal with topics such as self -worth and personal development at a young age," she emphasizes.

a new chapter for "Equaliz"

Christine Erlach, the head of the equaliz, is enthusiastic about the move and explains that the time is perfectly chosen. With the upcoming opening, numerous new offers for strengthening girls and young women can be provided directly in Villach. "Especially for the campaign week around the international girls' day, we would like to draw attention to unequal opportunities and accessible resources," she adds.

The Villach women's representative Alisa Herzog emphasizes the importance of addressing this target group more intensely. "Girls and young women play a crucial role in social change," says Herzog. The planned activities in the opening week are intended to better understand the expectations and wishes of the girls and to integrate them into the work of the women's office.

diverse offers and opening times

The Equaliz will continue to offer a variety of workshops in the future, including the self -valuable group "I'm fine ...". Interested parties can easily get to know the entire offers at the new location. The regular opening times are on Mondays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. These new times are intended to ensure that even more girls and young women receive support and resources they need.
