Advent project in Spittal: students promote social issues and sustainability
The students of the 2FBS of the HLW Spittal/Drau have put together a remarkable social project in cooperation with the Carinthian Christmas Bauern and the Carinthian family card. As part of this project, which focuses on the Advent season, not only the support of local producers is promoted, but also a strong awareness of sustainability.
From the first idea to implementation, a lot of work has been invested. The students have the opportunity to work directly with the Christmas tree builders, whose Christmas tree production represents a traditional and environmentally conscious alternative to imported trees. This initiative aims to strengthen the local economy and at the same time promote environmentally friendly practices.
The concept of the project
A central aspect of the project is the idea of a sustainable and social Christmas season. By buying Christmas trees from the region, the participants not only support the regional economy, but also the environment. The project combines various elements: from production to purchase, all steps are designed locally. The Carinthian family card serves as a platform to encourage families to participate in this sustainable approach.
The students have also planned to hold workshops and information events. In these events, the advantages of buying regional products and the relevance of sustainability in today's society are discussed. With this you want to raise awareness and encourage others to make environmentally conscious decisions.
The initiative is not only an opportunity for the students to get involved in practice, but also a valuable learning experience. You will learn how social responsibility and sustainability can be integrated into everyday life. This project has the potential to have far -reaching effects by stimulating families from the region to also think about their purchase decisions and prefer local products.
The Advent project of the HLW Spittal is therefore an important example of how educational institutions and local producers can work together to combine social values with sustainable practices. The students actively get involved and promote not only a healthy environment, but also the community in their region.
