Oberdrauburg, Österreich - On December 5, 2024, the Oberdrauburg train station was successfully modernized and made barrier -free after only four months of construction. The ÖBB, the state of Carinthia and the municipality of Oberdrauburg have invested 3.3 million euros for this project. The new station forecourt also includes two bus stops and additional parking facilities for 48 cars, 40 bicycles and 10 mopeds, which improves access and public transport. Working at the train station is part of a total investment of around 275 million euros to improve the infrastructure in Carinthia in order to make public transport more attractive.
