Lifeguard honored: Carinthian heroes save life and receive awards!

In the Mirror Hall of the Carinthian state government, outstanding services were recognized on February 14, 2025. Governor Kaiser emphasized in his speech: "Your commitment gives hope and confidence". In a solemn framework, two badges of honor from the State of Carinthia, a great honor, three crosses of honor for life rescue and two certificates of honor were awarded. One of the honored is Daniela Mrak, who saved her spouse through immediate resuscitation. She was supported by her sons Jamie and Jeremy, who were also awarded honorary certificates for their exemplary action.

Other awards went to Ilja Mayrobnig and police inspector Philipp Salzmann, both of whom received the Cross of Honor for Rescue Honor for heroic use in life -threatening situations. Ilja Mayrobnig reanimated a man during a swimming event while Philipp Salzmann saved a sponsorship guest from death. Franz Blatnik received the great honor of the State of Carinthia for his decades of commitment in the rescue dog service, while Vice -utnant Christoph was awarded for his role as a staff representative and commander.

In addition, numerous fire service members were honored for their bold missions at the national level. The German Fire Brigade Honor Cross is awarded in gold, silver and bronze for outstanding fire brigade. These awards in particular honor firefighters who were in mortal danger to save the lives of others. The awarding of the honorary signs in both Carinthia and on the German level illustrates the appreciation and respect for the courageous missions that are provided by numerous firefighters and private individuals. This solemn evening was musically accompanied by talented harmonica players from the music school Katolnig.
