Bachmann Junior Price: Hermagor talent in the literature final basket

This year the organizers of the Bachmann Junior Prize can be particularly pleased: Numerous young people from the Hermagor district made it to the final. This is a positive turn because the participation in previous years was rather low. The association's president, Irmgard Janschitz, welcomes this trend, in particular the lively participation of students of the BRG Hermagor. A big thank you goes to German professor Silvia Huber-Fercher, who motivated the young talents to use their creative writing skills and create their own texts.

This year's topic, "consider that you stay awake", is a demanding challenge for the participants. Nevertheless, many have submitted their works, which gives the jury the opportunity to immerse yourself in the diverse and inspiring world of young authors. It will be exciting to find out which texts present the best and most creative ideas and how the jury will evaluate the impressive contributions with care and tact.

literary evening and award ceremony

for the reading and award ceremony on 12. October all those interested in culture are cordially invited. Due to the limited places, a quick registration is necessary, either by phone at 0650 9990457 or by email to bachmannjunp.hmg@gmx.at. This evening promises to become a unique literary experience with talents from different federal states in Austria as well as participants from Germany and the USA. Ingeborg Bachmann, the great poet, once said: "The roots of writing are in youth". This event proves that young people have the ability and enthusiasm to develop these roots.

anticipation for the trophies

The tension increases every hour, since everyone involved is curious about who will take home the two artistically designed trophies, designed by Glas Juri. On 12. October 2024 will also fight 15 finalists for the Hermagor Bachmann Junior Reading Prize for victory. This is done on the occasion of the 50th day of death by Ingeborg Bachmann, who is thought to be honored. A passage in Hermagor was named in her honor and functions as a central point for cultural gatherings.

Participation in such a competition not only promotes creativity, but also offers young people a platform to present their thoughts and ideas to the general public. It remains to be seen which stories and poems will be heard from the finalists. The results are then announced and the best talents can look forward to the deserved recognition. The reporting on this is certainly observed in many local media, in particular as Gailtal-journal.at reports .
