In the picturesque city of Feldkirchen, the “second Klezmer Fest” was celebrated with great success. More than 500 music lovers from the area and beyond flocked to the Am Amthof to be kidnapped into the unique world of Yiddish music and culture. This festival is the only one of its kind in Carinthia and emphasizes the traditions of Jewish folk music.
Andrea Eckert, a well -known actress and singer from Vienna, made the kick -off of the festival, who delighted the audience with an inspiring performance of songs by Jewish poets and composers. Their performance was followed by a talented Klezmer band from Slovakia, which skillfully combined Balkan sound with klezmer music and provided a thrilling atmosphere.
