The surgical intervention in which the maiden maid is reconstructed with dissolving threads by sewing the torn edges together is not without hesitation. According to Dr. Salusollia is a recognized cosmetic operation, but its effects are rather symbolic. "The actual virginity cannot be restored," she says, names possible complications such as infections, scars formation and dissatisfied results.
