Vorarlberg, Österreich - The Illwerke VKW announces a unique loyalty bonus for electricity customers, which will be paid out from July 2025. This bonus affects households, small businesses and farms. A prerequisite for the reference has been an upright electricity contract ratio since the beginning of 2023, which means that only customers who have received an electricity product at Illwerke VKW on January 1, 2023 and continue to do so. The average bonus height is 45 euros per household based on an assumed annual consumption of 3,500 kilowatt hours. Customers with low power consumption can look forward to a minimum payment of 30 euros.

The payment is automatically carried out as part of the annual statement, whereby no application is required. The amount of the loyalty bonus varies depending on the individual electricity consumption and represents a reaction of the Illwerke VKW to the latest developments in the electricity market. This measure aims to alleviate the financial burden on customers according to the challenges of the energy crisis. In coordination with the Chamber of Labor, the Chamber of Commerce and the Vorarlberg Chamber of Agriculture, this step was initated.

Despite a currently low energy price in Vorarlberg, the electricity bills of households are higher than in previous years. The reasons for this are diverse.
