On May 1, 2025, there was a fire in a multi -party home in Schwaz, Tyrol around 9:30 p.m. The assignment was noticed by an outsider who immediately informed a neighbor. This, a 44-year-old Austrian, immediately hurried to help and was able to successfully delete the fire with two fire extinguishers from the residential complex. Fortunately, there were no injuries, only a slight property damage to the balcony window was recorded.

The cause of the fire could be determined quickly: a 44-year-old Italian had smoked a cigarette on her balcony. After emptying the cigarette button in an ashtray, she emptied the ashes into a larger plastic bag cup. In the end, these measures led to the fire, which could be averted by quick actions by the neighbors and the fire brigade. The Schwaz fire brigade and the Fire Brigade VOM were on site with four vehicles and 20 emergency services, supported by an ambulance.
