Budget crisis: Union demands clever mix for the renovation!

In the ongoing coalition negotiations between the ÖVP, SPÖ and NEOS, the massive budget with up to 23 billion euros is the focus of the discussion. Wolfgang Katzian, President of the Union Confederation ÖGB, emphasized in the interview on Saturday that a high need for consolidation at government negotiations has been experienced. Katzian pleads for a "good mix" of revenue and output measures and warns of budget consolidation, which takes place solely at the expense of the welfare state.
