Mysterious mountain summer: discover the beauties on Lake Ossiach!
On June 26, 2025, the exclusive preliminary premiere of the new episode of "Land der Berges" took place in the city hall of Feldkirchen. Around 150 guests were present to experience the episode entitled "Mysterious Berg summer on Lake Ossiach". Director Alexander Lechner was visibly moved by the great interest and spoke of his "little family" from the shooting. This documentation focuses on the Ossiacher See, Carinthia's third largest bathing lake, and shows the beauty of the region and the life stories of the people on site.
The protagonists include Josef Nageler, who runs shipping at Ossiacher See in the third generation, and Johanna Wolf, a horse trainer who shows hidden corners of the region during her hikes. Claudio Köstenberger, a water ski athlete, trains on the impressive Finsterbach waterfalls and remembers his childhood. Teresa Zaminer, a talented singer, ventures her first paragliding over the Gerlitzen Alpe.

In the documentation, other interesting personalities also have their say. Astrophotographer Hans Köchl presents the miracles of the night sky in the Pacheiner observatory, while Christa Kröndl describes the Tiebel sources as a magical place as a water ambassador. In addition, musician Erhard Fian visits the Bleistätter Moor, where he finds inspiration for his creative work. An architectural highlight of the region, the Domenig Steinhaus in Steindorf, reflects the shape of the surrounding mountains and acts as an impressive example of modern architecture in perfect harmony with nature.
The event on Wednesday evening not only served to present the documentation, but also as a thank you to the regional population and partners such as the Villach Tourismus GmbH region, the Carinthia Film Commission, the municipality of Himmelberg and the cultural department of the State of Carinthia. Manuela Strihavka, the ORF III format manager, emphasized the loyal viewership from Carinthia, which is expected to ORF III, especially on Thursday evening for the TV premiere at 8:15 p.m.

The document not only illuminates the impressive landscapes, it also authentically shows the attitude to life of the residents. After the result, another Carinthian focus is broadcast via the Cologne bréin lock in the Malta Valley, which presents fascinating paraglid flights, animal observations and wonderful waterfalls. However, you should consider the high costs, such as the prices in the ski huts, where you have to expect between € 4.80 and € 6 for a beer. A 6-day ticket for the whole family can quickly rise to € 1,022. It is therefore recommended to buy drinks at the valley station of the Matritschenbahn cheaply.
