Wien, Österreich - The FPÖ celebrated its success in the Vienna election last weekend. Party leader Herbert Kickl described the result as "memo" for Mayor Michael Ludwig from the SPÖ. In the evening of the election, FPÖ parliamentary group leader Harald Vilimsky in the EU Parliament was skeptical about a possible coalition in Vienna. However, the overall mood within the party was positive. The FPÖ seems determined to implement its political agenda after the gratifying outcome of the election and to establish itself as a central force in Vienna.
