The importance of fire brigade history

The Firecup is not only a competition, but also part of the rich fire brigade history of Tyrol. The Fire Brigade History of the State Fire Brigade Association Tirol promotes research and documentation of this story. It has been active since 2013 to preserve the development of fire brigades and their technology. Local fire brigades are supported in historical questions, while valuable documents and equipment are secured for the future. The tradition and development of the Tyrolean fire brigade system is kept alive, which also reflects the intellectual estate of current competitions such as the Firecup.

The work in this subject area enables Tirol's impressive fire brigade culture to pass on and to preserve it for future generations. Historical communications are made available as part of this initiative and are accessible to fire brigade research research.

Overall, the Firecup 2025 not only promises exciting competitions, but also a celebration of the tradition and community of Tyrolean fire brigades. This means that the connection to the past remains alive and is also celebrated in the present.
