The governor of Lower Austria, Johanna Mikl-Leitner, opened the event with an inspiring greeting and underlined the importance of the festival for the presentation of the health region of Lower Austria. The professional Zwettler beer tapping, which not only celebrated tradition, but also the culinary diversity of the Waldviertel, was one of the highlights. The second day of the event was less pleasant in terms of weather, while the final day was accompanied by bright sunshine again and the festival visitors attracted them in droves. A competition offered additional incentive to participate, and eleven partners were honored for their many years of support for the Waldviertel-Pur events.
