In the event of extortion against the family of Michael Schumacher, the district court of Wuppertal sentenced a 53-year-old to three years in prison. The man had threatened to publish private pictures and videos of the Formula 1 star and demanded a sum of 15 million euros from the family. The main defendant admitted the lack of insight and described his actions as "very, very disgusting." He explained that this had already become aware of this in prison on the second day. The court heard recordings of the extortion calls during the process. The main defendant burdened the former security employee and led blatant details about the procurement of the material, which is supposed to come from a former nurse of Michael Schumacher. Investigations against this nurse were also initiated during the negotiations. The judgment against the main perpetrators is not legally binding for the time being.
