Parent advice: together strong for the future of our children!
Laimgrubengasse 10, 1060 Wien, Österreich - Parents' advice in Austria is enjoying growing popularity and has recorded a significant increase in demand in recent years. According to Mag. Martina Kronthaler, Secretary General of Aktion Leben Austria , 962 women from 33 nations have already taken advantage of advice last year. The comprehensive offer ranges from pregnant advice to binding analysis to offer support in crisis situations. It is particularly noteworthy that the consultations concentrate on the challenge of accompanying expectant parents and freshly baked mothers during and after pregnancy.
Parent counseling, which has been offered since September 2023, is a central part of this offer of help. Here young parents can clarify questions about topics such as childcare allowance, fathers' leave or single parents. Currently, 214 family advice centers are involved across Austria, with the expertise of the consultants enabled to provide targeted help. It is emphasized that every euro invested in the parent counseling is a worthwhile investment that significantly relieves and strengthens both mothers and their children, such as Kronthaler in the press release from APA-OTS explained.
rising numbers and multiple offers
The advice center has a total of 2,265 psychosocial consultations and sees a clear trend in the increasing participation of fathers in consultations. 169 couple consultations illustrate that more and more men are willing to actively participate in parental responsibility. The range of topics ranges from medical and psychological problems to social emergencies. It is crucial that the consultations help to develop ways that support women in coping with their challenges. The introduction of new multilingual information materials also shows how seriously and accessible this help is designed for everyone affected, adds Kronthaler.
