On Thursday, May 30, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred in Mauerkirchen, Braunau, Upper Austria. A 13-year-old boy was injured with his e-scooter in a collision with a car. The incident happened around 2:40 p.m. when the 33-year-old driver drove from Spitzgasse towards Görlichstrasse and wanted to continue to Bahnhofstrasse (L1053-Lachforststraße). At this moment the young person approached the Görlichstraße/Bistritzerstraße intersection from the Bistritzerstraße and crashed almost right -angled against the driver's side of the vehicle.
