Nine women in the race: Miss Germany 2025 is looking for leaders

Nine remarkable women have qualified for the final of the “Miss Germany 2025” competition, which will take place on February 22nd in the Europa-Park in Rust, near Freiburg. These women not only have beauty, but also impressive professional successes, and come from various, exciting professions. Among the finalists, Luisa Gallardo Leon, a 27-year-old mother and entrepreneur from Baden-Württemberg, who founded a company with her online confectionery Unicake.

The organizers of the competition have given the motto that this season is not the next Instagram models, but women with the potential to make large careers on management levels-future "DAX leaders" and founders. This was communicated by the Miss Germany Studios and shows a clear departure from the traditional beauty ideals to a focus on professionalism and entrepreneurial talent.

Among the finalists is 25-year-old Edda Manteufel from Hamburg, who advises companies on how they can create jobs for people with disabilities. In addition, 34-year-old Jil Malin Berning from Berlin would like to establish self-determined health care for women with her company. Lu Zhang, a 33-year-old patent anchor and electrical engineer from Hanover, inspires women to find her way into male-dominated industries.

All finalists are between 21 and 40 years old and have already founded their own start-ups. The jury, who will choose the winner in the categories "Female Founder", "Female Mover" and "Female Leader", evaluates the women in two rounds. Criteria are professionalism, ability to develop and inspiration.

a new approach for the competition

At the final, there will also be a premiere for the audience: for the first time, the audience can intervene in the selection process and choose the "Miss Germany" from the three winners. This year's selection fell on 90 candidates who emerged from over 1,000 applications.

With a view to the next season, the Miss Germany Studios have announced that the application round for 2025/26 is already running. The application fee is 99 euros. But there is a big change: After more than 20 years, the final will no longer take place in the Europa-Park to switch to another city for the 100th anniversary of the competition in 2027.
