The project was supported by the state renovation program, and the regional foundation of the Sparkasse Offenburg/Ortenau also made a contribution of 100,000 euros. "It's a very nice project," explained Nicole Dietl, board member of the Sparkasse, and emphasized the importance of inclusion.

The children's feedback after the first visit were consistently positive, they were happy about the new play options and the fact that they can now play together with friends. Mayor Klarre is confident that this playground will be an important social meeting point in Rust and can be a pioneering role for further inclusion projects in the region. This integrative initiative was praised as a step in the right direction, since it gives children with and without disabilities the opportunity to work together and have fun, which is also a "strong sign of inclusion".
