Aid campaign from Gföhl: 1,000 euros for floods affected in Michelhausen

An impressive initiative from GFÖHL shows how solidarity the people in the Michelhausen region are. The native of Ruster Franz Holzer, who now lives in Gföhl, has organized a donation collection in favor of his home community. Two film performances were used in the Lichtpiele Gföhl, an association that is devoted to the revival and preservation of the local cinema to collect funds for those affected by the flood.

The actions took place as part of a Halloween special, where visitors were asked for donations. The films shown, "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and "Alfie Der Kleine Werwolf", were not only able to inspire the audience, but also ensured a generous willingness to donate. Holzer and his colleagues, Rainer and Wolfgang Bayr, recently presented 1,000 euros to Mayor Bernhard Heinl in the Michelhausen municipal office.

tragic background and human cohesion

The background of this collection of donations are very personal for Franz Holzer, whose parents' house in Rust was seriously affected by the flood. Tragically, his father died during a flood use, which also gives the project a deeper meaning. Mayor Heinl expressed his gratitude for the support from Gföhl: "The flood has taken a lot to many. It is all the more beautiful when help is given, as is through the donations from Gföhl. A big thank you for this initiative."

This type of solidarity and support is particularly important in times of need. The donations collected will be part of the necessary help for those affected by the flood in the region and show how important the community is in such times of crisis. The event and the subsequent handover of the donation are a strong sign of cohesion and compassion within the municipalities.

Holzer's commitment and the willingness of the Gföhler citizens to help are impressive examples of the human spirit that comes together in difficult times. "We not only collected donations at our event, but also set a sign that we stand together as a community," added Holzer. This fundraiser symbolizes the strength and cohesion of the people in the region.
