Loose ties for a good cause: benefit concert in Rotenturm Castle

On November 23, a special benefit concert took place in the magnificent Rotenturm Castle. The "Cancer Aid Burgenland" and the "Lions Club" had invited together and ensured the background music. The doors of the castle were opened by the Schinner family to enable an event in which jazz and social engagement met.

There was also a team that made up of committed members of the Cancer Aid Burgenland, including GF Andrea Konrath, Maria Zachs, Veronika and Susanne Tader as well as Angela Szokasits. The Lions Club was also represented, led by President Jörg Gamauf and other members such as Thomas Zalka and Klaus Peter Schuh. A special guest was the Pink Ribbon Ambassador Elisabeth Schranz.

The message of the loose tie

As part of the event, the importance of prostate cancer early detection was pointed out. This year, special attention was paid to the motto "Loose Tie", which symbolizes the relaxation of the tie. This idea is intended to encourage men to regularly go to urological studies. As GF Andrea Konrath explained, the goal is to recognize cancer in the early stage to save lives.

The musical highlight of the evening was the Ast³ trio, consisting of Anna Reisigl (bass), Stephanie Weninger (piano) and Thorsten Seidl (drums). The musicians who got to know each other during their jazz studies presented a varied program that included timeless classics and modern arrangements. With melodies such as "Autumn Leaves" and "Caravan" they delighted the audience and created an atmosphere of joy and cohesion.

support from the Lions Club

The Lions Club Südburgenland has clearly known for the Cancer Aid events. In conversation with moderator Udo Huber, known from ORF, Gamauf referred to the upcoming benefit-lions new year concert, which will take place on December 27th in the Oberschützen cultural center. The profits of this event benefit from a family, among other things, who suffered severe strokes of fate due to the flood disaster in June.

The guests were warmly welcomed with a glass of frizzante and were able to enjoy exquisite wines from the Kopfensteiner winery during the breaks, which were donated for the event. Andrea Konrath thanked the winemaker family for their generosity.

Overall, the benefit concert was not only a musical performance, but also an impressive sign of support and solidarity in the community, which brought the importance of cancer to the awareness of those present. The focus was on the exchange and the memories of how important it is to pay attention to your own health while a great program was enjoyed at the same time.
