Protection and knowledge: Kobersdorf strengthens security for seniors
A particularly informative event on security was recently held in Kobersdorf, organized by Robert Woschitz. Over 70 citizens came together in the Gasthaus Dorfwirt to obtain valuable information from the experienced police officers Robert Kamper and Harald Pal from the Oberpullendorf police station. The speakers illuminated a wide range of security -relevant topics that were of great interest to the participants.
A central concern of the event was the awareness of modern dangers, especially in the area of cybercrime. The police officers informed about proven strategies in order to recognize fraud stitches such as the "nephew trick" and the stitch of the "false police officer" at an early stage. Such enlightenment is particularly important because older people are often the aim of such attempts to fraud.
strengthen security awareness
The organization of this event is largely launched by Heinz Schächle from the Pensioners 'Association and Werner Gradwohl from the Senior Citizens' Association. Both were pleased with the lively interest and emphasized the relevance of such offers in order to raise particularly older citizens to current dangers and to strengthen them in dealing with potential fraud attempts.
The feedback from the participants was consistently positive. Many appreciated the practical approach and the opportunity to ask questions directly and to discuss their personal concerns with the experts. This shows how important trust in security forces and sharing knowledge in the community is.
In parallel to this security event, there was also a cell phone training for seniors from the Oberpullendorf senior citizens' association. The training aimed to convey more security to the participants in dealing with smartphones. Mayor Johann Heisz praised the initiative of the senior citizens' association and explained that the desire to keep up with modern media was not a question of age.The so -called "A1 smartphone Stammtisch", a free training of the A1 senior academy, was carried out in two groups. Here the participants received practical tips to increase their digital competence and become more secure when dealing with the devices. This training proved not only for newcomers as helpful, but also for advanced users who were able to learn additional information and new tricks.
This initiative to promote digital skills is a valuable addition to the security measures in Kobersdorf. She helps to better protect the elderly by navigating more safely on the Internet and know how to protect yourself from digital dangers.
These events offer a great way to strengthen the sense of community and increase security in the community. The positive response suggests that similar information events will continue to be planned in the future in order to further raise awareness of security issues.
