Scary days in the Podobeach: A spectral experience for the whole family
In the picturesque Podersdorf am See, the second edition of the popular "scary days" in the "Podobeach" beach, which runs until November 3, began on October 25th. After the successful start in the previous year, when around 8,000 guests visited the spook with witches, ghosts and skeletons, the organizers were able to record an impressive plus of 56 % in the first weekend.
An important reason for the increase in visitor numbers is the extended and more exciting scary offer. The centerpiece is a generously designed horror labyrinth, which now extends on an area of 220 m². The entire adventure area along the bank comprises a proud 400 meters and ensures eerily beautiful snapshots and unforgettable experiences.
scary experiences for the whole family
Guests can look forward to numerous attractions, including horror boxes, a scarecrow world and impressive creepy projections. A highlight is the huge devil's head, which serves as a perfect photo point for creepy memory photos. The event team has also worked out a family -friendly program that comes up with exciting shows on three evenings - after the national holiday, the last performances will take place on October 31st and November 2. The season for the year ends on November 3 and the "Podobeach" withdraws into the winter break.
The success of the "scary days" is not only due to the eerie flair, but also to the general upswing in the region. During the autumn holidays, Podersdorf recorded an occupancy rate of around 50 %. Compared to previous years, the municipality can even show a 12.6 %increase in the overnight stays between January and August 2024. This faces Podersdorf before the prospect of reaching the 400,000 overnight stays after five years, regardless of the weather -related decline in recent months.
attractions and infrastructure expand offers
The high number of visitors and the positive development are also the result of a broadly diverse event offer. Wine and culinary festivals, live music and family-friendly activities such as puzzle rally attract numerous tourists. In addition, the tourist infrastructure is currently being invested. The "Podobeach" now offers a variety of leisure facilities, including bouncy pads, a calisthenics system, basketball spots and a yoga platform. All of this is supplemented by a barefoot path for natural experiences.
The lake landscape and the targeted marketing on various platforms help to ensure that Podersdorf gains in popularity and attracts visitors from near and far. Interested parties can also find more information about the developments in Podersdorf on www.meinbezirk.at .
