A gratifying event has happened in the municipality of Marz: Werner Trenker, the founder of the company Med Trust, was awarded the coveted “Viennaartaward” in 2024. This honor for his commitment in the art scene underlines his passion for the promotion of artistic creation and may be seen as the highlight of his diverse activities.
The Marzer company Med Trust, which has been internationally active since 1997, has its roots in the region. With a total of twelve locations in Europe, Med Trust supplies dealers in over 80 countries worldwide with its high -quality medical devices that are offered under the Wellion brand. A striking feature of the products is the creative design for which many Austrian artists are responsible.

med Trust has earned numerous awards in recent years. These include the “Austrian Leading Companies” price in the international company and the innovation prize of the State of Burgenland. Werner Trenker himself was also recognized in 2018 as "Entrepreneur of the Year" in the trade and consumer goods category, which demonstrates his entrepreneurial competence.

His collection includes significant works by Austrian artists such as Hermann Nitsch, Arnulf Rainer and Markus PracheSky. An important example of his engagement is the loan from the “Heavenly Head” artwork from Billi Thanner to the Museum St. Peter an der Bear in Wiener Neustadt, which thus introduces a symbol of peace. There is currently also a comprehensive exhibition by Hermann Nitsch entitled "Farbenwelt". In Bratislava, visitors can also marvel at the exhibition "Tribute of Colors" by Hermann Nitsch in the Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum, which was realized in cooperation with Nitsch Foundation.
The future of art presentation among Trenker will also be exciting: In March 2025, an exhibition with Hannes Mlenek's work in the Künstlerhaus Vienna will open, while for autumn 2025 a reprospective about Markus PracheSky is planned in cooperation with Brigitte Prachsky in the St. Peter Museum. Trenker promises that further exhibitions and projects with different artists are in the pipeline.
