SPÖ district breakfast in Jennersdorf: Care and future in focus

Last weekend, more than 400 supporters of the SPÖ gathered in the Gernot Arena in Jennersdorf to exchange ideas with the governor Hans Peter Doskozil. This step took place in the context of the upcoming state election on January 19, which made the presence of numerous local and district candidates such as Fabio Halb, Mario Trinkl, Andrea Reichl and Claudia Supper particularly important.

The governor decided at short notice to change his plans for a trip to France in order to present his information to the voters on site and to get into conversation with them. This shows the great interest of the SPÖ in the concerns of the citizens and the desire to take their topics and worries seriously.

important topics of discussion

Various topics were discussed in the arena, including energy communities, medical care, migration and especially care. Doskozil expressed sharp criticism of the outgoing federal government, in particular with regard to the promised improvement in the care situation during Corona pandemic. "It was just a lip service," he made a clear judgment and emphasized the need for specific measures. The SPÖ has already set up 71 nursing competence centers to make decisive progress in this area.

Another central point was the announcement of a transition mobilization center in the south region, which is to extend over the districts of Jennersdorf, Güssing, Oberwart and Oberpullendorf. According to Doskozil, a total of 100 beds for remobilization of people after operations or illnesses will be available. The center will be set up in the spa town of Bad Tatzmannsdorf, where a former tourism company is to be converted. The financing is to be ensured by tourist taxes, which is important for the holistic improvement of acute geriatrics in the Güssing Clinic.

enjoyment and conviviality

Event restaurateur Gernot Schmidt and his team provided the culinary design of the event. In addition, the SPÖ women enriched the offer with their homemade pastries. The Stadtkapelle Jennersdorf created a festive atmosphere with musical interludes. The district organization expressly thanked Beate Decker and the local organizations for the exemplary organization of the event. After the raffle of the competition, the district chairs summed up half and Trinkl that breakfast impressively demonstrated the strong cohesion in Jennersdorf.

These events are of considerable importance, since they serve the dialogue between the party and the voters and enable the SPÖ to respond directly to the needs and concerns of the population. Information about later events and the ongoing political initiatives are on www.meinbezirk.at to be found.
