The arrival of a new doctor in Güssing causes numerous discussions. Verena Behm-Ferstl from Upper Austria will open her practice in autumn 2025 after receiving the cash contract. "Yes, that's right," Thomas Bauer from the Medical Association confirmed the good news. The planning also provides for the construction of a new medical center in which it will work.

According to Mayor Vinzenz Knor, the medical center is built near the festival meadow. This location offers good accessibility and sufficient parking for the patients, since an X -ray institute is also located there. However, the responsibility for the construction lies with a private person with whom the city wants to finalize everything in the next few weeks. "I'm very happy about it," said Bauer about the planned project.

Information about Dr. Heinz Lang

In this context, the future of Dr. Heinz Lang, a long -time general practitioner in Güssing. There were rumors about an upcoming retirement, which, however, vehemently rejected: "It is not true that I am retired at the end of the year," he said. He remains on duty at least another year to ensure that the medical care of the population is guaranteed.

Lang Lang is the search for another doctor in progress in order to optimally make the medical care. This is particularly important after there was already a candidate in the past who showed great interest, but surprisingly withdrawn her request in June. "This is far too important for Güssing," emphasized Knor, who looks optimistically into the future.

The return of Behm-Ferstl is an important step for local health care, especially in view of the fact that the existing doctors are already a bit older. An official statement by the new doctor has so far been pending, but the Güssinger hope for news soon.
