In contrast to the claims from Salzburg in Burgenland, there are no significant bureaucratic hurdles for caring relatives. This statement is in the direct contradiction to the position of Salzburg's Social Affairs Councilor Christian Pewny (FPÖ), who recently excluded a corresponding model and referred to supposed difficulties in the Burgenland administration. The Salzburg SPÖ continues to urge a solution that would also enable a similar support model in its state.

The Salzburg SPÖ has expressed clear demands: it wants nurse relatives at the state of Salzburg, as is already practiced in Burgenland. So far, 336 people have registered as caring relatives. Manuela Blutomager, the managing director of the non -profit nursing service Burgenland GmbH, states that in practice there are no significant bureaucratic hurdles.
