Burgenland starts climate: new laws ensure faster permits!
In Burgenland, the energy transition is promoted with an ambitious draft law! On Thursday, deputy governor Anja Haider-Wallner (Greens) will present a novella in the state parliament to revolutionize the approval process for renewable energies. In the future, authorities will have to check the completeness of applications within 45 days, while photovoltaic systems with energy storage are to be decided within three months. For smaller solar systems up to eleven kilowatts, there is even a period of only one month. The repowering of wind turbines is planned for six months. Haider-Wallner also criticized the federal government and called for enforcing measures to implement the EU requirements that have so far failed at the ÖVP.
