Botanical art in the park: Isabel Mischka inspires with a new exhibition!

Parkschlössl, Österreich - On June 3, 2025, a fascinating exhibition was opened in the Parkschlössl, which focused on botanical art. Under the direction of the artist Isabel Mischka, eight participants presented their own works of art for the first time, who addressed a personal examination of nature, shape and color. The vernissage took place on the previous Monday, June 2, 2025, and attracted numerous visitors who got into conversation with the artists and learned more about their techniques and creative approaches. Isabel Mischka was also on site and answered questions while giving insights into her work as a mentor.

The exhibition in the Parkschlössl can be seen until June 13, 2025 and is open from Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Entry to this inspiring event is free, so art lovers and interested parties can take the opportunity to take a closer look at the works and to interact directly with the artists. In addition to the works of art, the exhibition also includes a wide range of techniques and creative ideas that were conveyed in the courses of Mischka. She emphasized the importance of the connection between art and nature and encouraged the participants to artistically implement their own perspective on botanical motifs.

variety of botanical art

In the context of the current exhibition, the importance of botanical art also gains relevance through the worldwide “Botanical Art Worldwide” project, which celebrates its second edition in 2025. This initiative focuses on the variety of crops, including old fruit and vegetable varieties, their wild relatives, as well as medical plants and wood and fiber plants. A German and Austrian contribution is presented in the Forum Botanical Art, which also puts the exhibiting artists in a global context, while the vernissage in the Parkschlössl emphasizes local talents.

A catalog entitled "Botanical Art Worldwide - The Diversity of Merry Plants" appears to the accompanying exhibition. This hardcover catalog, with a size of 17 x 24 cm and a circumference of 52 pages, not only contains images of all 40 exhibited works, but also personal texts by the artists who offer deeper insights into their inspiration and creative processes.

The exhibition and the accompanying projects invite you to explore the interdisciplinary connection between art and nature and to recognize how important the preservation and appreciation of botanical diversity is in our world.
