Bipa lowers prices: up to 27% cheaper with over 300 items!

Rumänien, Rumänien - On May 21, 2025, the Bipa drugstore chain announced that it would reduce the prices for numerous products. These price cuts affect both the own brands and branded products and are valid in both the branches and in the online shop. The average price reduction is about 10%, while some items are even up to 27% cheaper. Managing Director Andreas Persigehl underlined the advantages for customers who should benefit from the increased introduction of own brands and permanent price reductions. In addition, permanent price reductions for over 300 items were announced, which underlines BIPA's price strategy.

BIPA celebrates its 45th anniversary this year, which makes the announcement of the price reductions appear in a particularly positive light. This strategy aims to increase the competitiveness of the chain and pull more customers into business. The press release on price reduction was presented as part of a press conference, in which, among other things, the managing directors of BIPA, Markus Geyer and Andreas Persigehl, as well as Marcel Haraszti, board member of Rewe International AG, were also present. Geyer proudly expressed the expansion of BIPA, which is also supposed to extend to international markets.

expansion to Romania

An essential element of the expansion plans is the intended market entry in Romania in the coming year. Martin Gaber was determined as the new head of Bipa Romania and will start his work on June 1, 2024. Gaber has valuable experiences from his time at REWE International AG, Marionnaud Austria and Thomas Philipps Handels GmbH, which should be of great importance for the future development of the company. This shows that the leadership of BIPA is strategically positioned not only at national, but also at an international level.

strategic pricing in retail

The BIPA price strategy falls into a larger context of the challenges that retailers have to master today. According to Vistex, pricing requires a balance between sales volume and profit targets. Retailers have to analyze market trends and the behavior of their customers in order to optimally set prices. The implementation of dynamic pricing strategies and action prices can significantly increase sales and promote competitiveness, especially in a constantly changing market environment.

Nevertheless, it is crucial not only to take into account the highest sales products, but also to manage all products and sales streams in order to secure long -term success. In this context, the choice of the right price strategies, such as cost -effective offers or value -oriented prices, could also be important for BIPA in order to achieve the desired goals and further expand the market position.
