celebrations and supporting program

The ceremonial conclusion of the May celebrations was celebrated with the Austrian Federal anthem and the Carinthian home song. The event, which aimed at community, food and drink, also offered a diverse supporting program for children. These included a bouncy castle, face painting and football dart and various games.

A raffle with attractive prices and a culinary offer that was provided by Veronika Kilzer, Sigrid Jank and Sonja Pirker, also contributed to the good atmosphere. In addition, Sophie and Maria, students of the third HLW Hermagor, presented a new cookbook. In another important date in May, Carinthia celebrates the event "Common Carinthia (he) life" on May 16. This festival, which will take place in the episcopal residence and in the garden, aims to promote the coexistence of the ethnic groups in Carinthia. The focus is on occasions such as 80 years end of the war and 70 years of the state contract.

This initiative is reminiscent of the approach of the various ethnic groups and is intended to encourage the young generation to discover the country's cultural and linguistic diversity. The presentation of the winning project of an artistic competition, which was designed by Natasa Siencnik and Wolfgang Puschnig, could set a visible sign of tolerance and acceptance of bilingualism in Carinthia.

The symposium about tolerance shows how the linguistic changes have been organized over time; Another sign of the cultural dialogue in Carinthia, which is stimulated by such events.
