20 years of senior residence Schloss Liechtenstein: An anniversary full of life!

On June 6, 2025, the Senior Castle Liechtenstein celebrated an important anniversary: 20 years of care lived in a historical ambience. The facility, which was taken over in 2005, is located in a listed castle that once served as a summer residence of the princely family of Liechtenstein. It currently offers 115 residents: a home inside and is almost fully utilized almost continuously. Managing Director Thomas EBM highlighted the family atmosphere and the high professionalism of the house.

The residence combines long -term care and assisted living. Of the 69 care places, 45 are funded by the state of Lower Austria. There are also 51 apartments that enable the residents: to live independently, while they still have access to extensive services, including 24-hour care staff. Under the direction of nursing director Claudia Götz, MSC, individual support is ensured by a multi -professional team.

comprehensive services and family environment

The senior residence Schloss Liechtenstein offers numerous in -house services. This includes a kitchen, cleaning, house technology as well as offers such as hairdresser, foot care, cosmetics, massage, fitness training and physical therapy. Animals are also welcome in the residence, which contributes to the positive atmosphere.

The anniversary celebration on June 5 took place in the Habsgut in Maria Enzersdorf and gathered over 140 guests. Pastor Toni Faber blessed the house, while the speeches by Mayor DI Johannes Zeiner, Vice Mayor Michaela Haidvogel and Member of the Landtag, Mag. Marlene Zeidler-Beck paid tribute to the festive occasion. The senior residence is also considered an important employer in the region, with around 50 employees: inside who "keep the principle of" family -run - familiarly ".

assisted living in the region

In the vicinity of the senior residence, assisted living is a central topic. In Maria Enzersdorf, the Austrian Red Cross offers various residential units that are barrier -free and have terraces or balconies. These facilities are optimally connected to public transport and local supply to increase the living standard of the seniors. Activities such as visiting common rooms or sports units are also the focus.

In view of the demographic change and increasing care costs, such offers are particularly important. In 2022, around 1.7 percent of the gross domestic product flowed into long -term care in Austria, but an increase in expenses in the coming years is expected. The focus should always be on the well -being of people with care needs, while the financing of the nursing system is regulated.

In summary, the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Liechtenstein Castle Senior Residence shows not only the success of the past, but also the continuous importance of care and assisted living in our society. Further information and offers related to living in old age are available on the websites of the Austrian Red Cross and the Diakonie, which offer valuable insights into the current developments and needs in the nursing sector.
