Pupils Plant Blühhecken: Ebreichsdorf becomes more climate -friendly!

Ebreichsdorf, Österreich - In the picturesque Ebreichsdorf, over 500 pupils from the elementary schools Ebreichsdorf, Weigelsdorf and Unterwaltersdorf experienced an educational November full of green actions. Together they planted a diverse flower and climate corner in the longest park with 250 domestic bushes and 25 fruit trees provided by the local tree nursery. The great plants such as hawthorn, sloe and blood -red hardwear were not only intended as a retreat for the domestic wildlife, but also as natural protection against wind and noise. As meinzirk.at reported, support experienced biologists to explore the exciting topic "Discover hedges" to convey valuable knowledge about the importance of hedges.

The classes of the Unterwaltersdorf elementary school have also experienced the green initiative up close. In bright weather, the students took part in a study program about "Green Elements in the Settlement area". The city councilor Birgit Reininger was on site herself and was able to experience the enthusiasm and success of the project. In several interactive stations, the children researched the tasks of trees, hedges and meadows for the environment. They learned playfully how these green structures contribute to cooling in summer, noise protection and the general quality of life. Landschaftspflegeverein.at emphasized that children were able to put themselves in the role of scientists and actively explore the surroundings by researching insects and their habitats.

Both actions illustrate the important role of schools and communities as part of the Natur Region Network. Numerous schools, clubs and municipalities work together here to promote biological diversity and environmental awareness in the region. Ebreichsdorf relies on green measures that not only benefit the students, but also contribute to the positive development of the entire habitat.
