Snow madness in Austria: 150 cm fresh snow on the march!
Austria is spoiled by Ms. Holle! Impressive amounts of snow in the Alpine regions are now to be expected. Up to 150 cm of fresh snow can fall in the Bregenzerwald, as the meteorologists from Geosphere Austria report. In view of these forecasts, the weather experts urgently warn of difficult travel conditions, especially in the Vorarlberg, where the winter conditions can already be felt today.
The weather situation is moderated by a warm front, followed by cold fronts that bring cold and moist air with it. From Sunday, December 22nd, a clear snow gain is expected, with the snowfall limit between 500 and 1000 meters and the nights also drop to Tallagen. The alpine north side is considered particularly affected, whereby the snowfall also extends to the Mostviertel and other regions on Monday.
